Sharon Lyon's Bio

Sharon Lyon is an author, geologist, and science educator. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from The College of William and Mary, and a Master of Science degree in geology from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Ms. Lyon has worked as a paleontologist, a petroleum geologist, an environmental scientist, and a Professor of Physical Sciences (now retired). Both of her novels in the Fossil Woman series are #1 Amazon Best Sellers. Fossil Woman is an IBPA Ben Franklin silver award winner. From her home in Virginia, she writes AAPG's weekly Geo Lifestyle newsletter (free and available to everyone).
